Starting therapy can be scary. Being vulnerable with a stranger takes a lot of courage, especially if you're someone prone to logic or reason, or perhaps you grew up hiding your feelings in an effort to appear strong. My own therapy journey has taught me that your emotions don't make you weak, but in fact, just make you human.
I aim to help you build a welcoming relationship with your emotions, and embrace all the parts that make you the beautiful and unique person you are. I take a client-centered and relational approach, incorporating mindfulness, acceptance, tuning into your body, and processing emotions. I also incorporate Internal Family Systems (IFS). I hope to guide you in practicing compassion towards yourself, getting out of your own head, and being present.
I value supporting BIPOC and queer communities, and I enjoy working with individuals dedicated to building a therapeutic relationship. It’s important to me to create a safe and welcoming environment where you can talk freely. My hope is to empower you toward a place of self-love, as you learn more about yourself and what matters to you.
