KERSTIN O'CONNOR

She/Her

Therapy is a deeply personal journey, and I strive to create a nurturing space where you can engage in meaningful exploration and transformation, no matter how big or small. This process invites courage and commitment, and I am here to ensure you feel valued, safe, and understood as you navigate your path toward self-discovery and healing.

I work with adults facing various challenges, including depression, anxiety, life transitions, relationship difficulties, and grief. My integrated approach draws from psychodynamic, depth, and systems-oriented strategies, allowing us to explore the complexities of your experiences. I emphasize anti-racist, anti-colonialist, feminist, and LGBTQIA+ affirming frameworks and enjoy fostering curiosity about emotions, unconscious patterns, and the impacts of early attachments. These explorations aim to enhance self-understanding, support engagement within relationships and community, and open the door to meaningful transformation over time.

With a background in medical social work, I have specialized experience assisting individuals encountering chronic and terminal illnesses and navigating the complexities of caregiver roles. I also support healthcare professionals and individuals facing significant life transitions, such as entering college, changing careers, adjusting to relationship shifts, and navigating pregnancy, parenthood, and loss.

I invite you to reach out to me at kerstin@rogersparkcounseling.com to discuss our potential therapeutic fit. I welcome inquiries from individuals aged 18 and older and offer complimentary consultation calls to explore how I can best support you. I look forward to hearing from you and providing a space where you can feel heard and understood.
